Guy Strazz

Guitarist and  composer

Guy plays contemporary World-jazz fusion; influenced by Afro-Brazilian, Jazz and Indian classical His performances include: Jazz Yatra, Jakarta Jazz, Perth and Adelaide Arts Festivals, Clusone Jazz Festival Japan World Expo, the Sydney Opera House, Melbourne and Wangaratta Jazz festivals and the Adelaide International Guitar Festival.

He has collaborated with a variety of improvisers including pianist Matt McMahon and saxophonist Sandy Evans.  Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Pt.Ashok Roy (disciple of Ali Akbar Khan), Martin Taylor, Slava Grigoryan, saxophonist Dale Barlow, Mike Stern, In 2001-03 Guy received a Music Fellowship by the Australia Council for the Arts. He has APRA (equivalent to ASCAP) Nominations and Jazz APRA in 2000 for his World/Jazz composition, Mandela. Further information available at http://www.guystrazz.com
