Guy Strazz PhD
Master Guitarist and Composer

Guy Strazz is an Australian master guitarist and composer based on the Central Coast of NSW.
His guitar playing, and compositions are rooted in a deep, long-standing relationship with contemporary and modern jazz, Afro-Brazilian, Western classical, and Indian classical music. He holds a PhD in improvisation and composition, and an MA (Hons) by research on Intercultural composition and improvisation.
He currently teaches composition and musicology at Avondale University, and he is head of the guitar program at the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music. He has taught at the University of NSW, Macquarie University, NAISDA, and Sydney Conservatorium of Music, credentials that underpin his extensive research and performance career.
